Why we chose Young Epilepsy
We are deeply committed to supporting causes that promote the support of those struggling with epilepsy, as it is a condition with little knowledge behind it.
Young Epilepsy is a charity that is constantly striving to close that gap in our knowledge. Their mission strongly resonates us because they prioritize delivering health services and research that improves diagnosis and treatments. They support children and young people throughout school and provide medical information and practical help for everyday living. By supporting Young Epilepsy, we are helping them to make even more, new discoveries within the medical research behind Epilepsy.
Young Epilepsy
Young Epilepsy is a charity that campaigns for children's rights. They deliver health services and research that improves diagnosis and treatments. They support children and young people throughout school, college, and university and they help provide information, friendly advice, and practical help for living everyday life.
Young Epilepsy is a charity that understands that childhood epilepsy can be a frightening and misunderstood condition. So, they work with children and young people with epilepsy, to ensure their voices are heard and their rights protected.
Young Epilepsy coordinates the vital research needed to ensure early and accurate diagnosis, better treatment and better support for children and young people living with epilepsy.
In collaboration with the University of Nottingham, UCL's institute of Neurology, the UCL welcome team and others, Young Epilepsy have helped create a brain scanning system, called the OPM-MEG, which will revolutionise the diagnostic experience for children and young people with epilepsy.
A QUOTE FROM THE CHARITY:
Epilepsy can be one of the most frightening conditions that children and young people have to deal with. ... Fundraisers across the nation are part of Young Epilepsy's mission to enable young people with epilepsy to thrive and live life to their full potential.
We can't do it without you!
